Holidays are nice………”free” holidays are nicer
So how free is free?
Our air ticket is free, AIr Asia gives “free” tickets BUT we have to pay for the food, the luggage, the seat booking and of course our airport taxes.
Our accomodation in Shanghai will be free at the Grand Mercure Hongqiao, Shanghai because I was kiasu enough to make sure I join the mileage programme of the airline I fly with
We are getting 2 nights free accomodation here……….
Did I mention we have to pay for the train ticket from Hangzhou to Shanghai? Oh, and the bullet train travels at 170+km/hour - exciting! *grins from ear to ear*

In a fit of jealousy, I will bring up the fact that the Chinese offer products which usually look very different from those in the advertised photos.
